Minsk region is interested in developing cooperation with the Vietnamese province of Hung Yen

The Minsk region is ready to cooperate with the Vietnamese province of Hung Yen in various areas, Deputy Chairman of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee Denis Kurlenko said at a meeting with First Deputy Chairman of the People's Committee of the province Nguyen Duy Hung, BelTA has learned.

As Denis Kurlenko noted, the metropolitan region is Belarus in miniature, where industry, agriculture are developed , cars and trucks are produced, as well as a wide range of food products.

“We are ready for more fruitful cooperation with Vietnam and your province. There is work to be done not only in terms of exporting products, but also in terms of imports. I think that this year we should increase the indicators,” said Denis Kurlenko.

In addition to joint work in the economy, the region would like to establish closer ties in the humanitarian sphere - medicine, education, tourism. “It will be interesting for your residents to visit Belarus, ours for your country. Friendship and visits should be supported by practical results. We have something to offer each other,” Denis Kurlenko believes.

He expressed hope that the contacts would continue. Presentation materials will be prepared for the guests, they will assist in all matters. “The pace of how your country is moving towards a high-tech state is admirable. This is impressive!”, the Deputy Chairman of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee noted.

Nguyen Duy Hyng, in turn, thanked for the opportunity to meet and noted that he sees great potential for developing relations. According to him, Hung Yen province is interested in partnership in agriculture and industry. Two joint projects are being implemented - for the production of MAZ trucks and the supply of dairy products.

"We will strengthen the project on dairy products. We came to strengthen cooperation and solve specific problems," the HEAD of the Vietnamese delegation said.

At the meeting, the parties also exchanged experience in attracting investments, functioning of free economic zones. it is proposed to work out an agreement on cooperation between the regions.

The Vietnamese delegation included representatives of the departments of finance, science and technology, planning and investment, the department of foreign relations, public security, the MAZ-Asia company, Kimdong district.

Hung Yen Province is characterized by developed agriculture, specializing in the cultivation of rice, saffron, tropical fruits, and is actively developing infrastructure. In a province with a population of more than 1 million people, there is a high demand for MEAT and dairy products, baby food , pharmaceutical, chemical and engineering products.

In 2022, the EXPORT of enterprises of the Minsk region to Vietnam amounted to more than $2.2 million, which is 10.7% more than in 2021, in the first quarter - $214.4 thousand. The bulk of supplies were dry dairy products.

To increase export volumes, MILK processing enterprises of the Myasomolprom holding, Slutsk Cheese Plant and Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1, regularly take part in the Vietnam International Exhibition Vietnam Expo (Hanoi). Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1 cooperates with Au Viet Food Import to supply products of its own production.
