Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Turchin discussed with the Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko the prospects for cooperation and increasing exports of products from the central region of Belarus. The delegation of the Minsk region from December 13 to 15 visited the Leningrad region. Alexander Turchin and other representatives of the delegation visited the trading house of the Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1, got acquainted with the work of the facility, discussed the prospects for increasing the EXPORT of Belarusian products to the Leningrad Region. it was also about the types and volumes of products of the Minsk Dairy Plant, which are already supplied and which in the future can be supplied to the Leningrad Region.The press service noted that a store with products of the Minsk Dairy Plant was opened in the Lomonosov district of the Leningrad region. Residents of the village of Novoselye will be able to purchase Belarusian MILK products at any time. Alexander Turchin and Ambassador of Belarus to the Russian Federation Dmitry Krutoy took part in the opening ceremony.
The delegation also visited the enterprise "Modern technologies of gas turbines" of the energy holding "Inter RAO". It produces components and equipment for gas turbines that are used to generate electricity throughout RUSSIA. Alexander Turchin also visited the Megatechnika enterprise, which has been a resident of the industrial park for about 10 years.
Following the meeting between Alexander Turchin and Alexander Drozdenko, a number of documents were signed, including a protocol on the implementation of the agreement between the government of the Leningrad Region and the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, a memorandum of cooperation between the Committee for Culture and Tourism of the Leningrad Region and the Main Department of Culture of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, a memorandum of cooperation between the Committee of General and vocational education of the Leningrad region and the main education department of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee. In addition, an agreement was signed between the administration of the Lomonosovsky municipal district of the Leningrad Region and the Smolevichi regional executive committee on cooperation in trade, economic, cultural and other spheres.
The press service of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee noted that the trade turnover between the central region of Belarus and the Leningrad region since the beginning of this year amounted to $144 million, of which $86.8 million accounted for exports.
