September 21, MINSK . Despite all the weather and external sanctions factors, in 2023 we plan to receive more than 7.9 million tons of MILK (104% of the 2022 level), cattle - 640.5 thousand tons (104.2%), pigs - 618 thousand. t (104.5%), poultry - 700 thousand tons (106%) and eggs - more than 2.9 million pieces (at the level of last year). Such data were provided by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Sergei Bartosh in an interview with the magazine.

Today there are 3.3 thousand commercial dairy farms in the country, including 1.6 thousand with robotic milking parlors, where more than 70% of milk is produced. 67 complexes are engaged in raising and fattening cattle , 101 - pigs, and 43 poultry farms operate.

Based on the results of work for 7 months of 2023, farms of all categories produced agricultural products worth Br12.2 billion, the growth rate of gross output was 105.2% compared to January - July 2022. Received 4 million 762.1 thousand tons of milk (106% compared to the same period last year), livestock and poultry (in live weight) - 1007.5 thousand tons (103.1%), including cattle - 375.1 thousand tons (104.3%), pigs - 246.2 thousand tons (104.7%), poultry - 385.8 thousand tons (101%).

"In 38 agricultural organizations of Belarus, on average, more than 5 thousand kg of milk were milked per cow over the six months. These are, for example, the agricultural production complex "Larinovka" of the Orsha region (7043 kg), the agricultural production complex named after Denshchikov of the Grodno region (6428 kg), the agricultural production complex "Svisloch" of the Grodno region (6382 kg), Unitary Enterprise "Molodovo-Agro" of the Ivanovo region (5998 kg), - the minister specified. - And more than 3 thousand kg were received in 425 organizations with the republican average of 2907 kg."

Cattle rearing is concentrated 90% in small (100-200 HEAD) farms with a high share of manual labor and minimal mechanization of work processes. In 42 out of 67 complexes, the average daily weight gain exceeded 600 g, 9 have a productivity of more than 900 g per day, 4 - more than 1000 g: SPK "Synkovichi" of the Zelvensky district (1113 g), RSUP "Olekshitsy" of the Berestovitsky district (1049 g), KSUP " Slobodskoye named after Lenin" of the Mozyr district (1007 g), SPU "Protasovshchina" of the Shchuchinsky district (1000 g). These are the results of strict technological discipline at all stages of production, starting from the procurement of feed, proper feeding, work on herd reproduction, and the implementation of veterinary and sanitary measures.

The achieved level of milk and MEAT production allows us to maintain the country’s food security, and the annually increasing volume of EXPORT sales of agricultural products makes a significant contribution to the country’s foreign exchange earnings and allows agricultural producers to conduct expanded production and increase workers’ wages.
