The Ministry of Agrarian Policy signed two memorandums in the dairy industry

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the Qatari companies Baladna (QPSC), WIDAM FOOD COMPANY (QPSC) signed two Memoranda of Understanding.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

it is noted that the parties agreed to cooperate and exchange information in the field of investment agricultural projects in Ukraine. The parties also confirmed their interest in the development of the dairy industry, in particular, MILK processing.

The conclusion of the memorandums will contribute to the innovative and investment development of the dairy industry in Ukraine and ensure food security in general.

First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky stressed that the preliminary agreements reached during the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Roman Leshchenko to Qatar in April this year are being implemented in practice.

“Today we signed a memorandum with one of the largest companies in Qatar, which has a very good expertise, knowledge of technology. For example, the average milk yield per cow at their operations in Qatar is 40 liters per day, one of the highest in the world. Therefore, it is important that Qatari technologies will be involved in the development of dairy livestock in Ukraine,” Taras Vysotsky summed up.
He also noted that this, first of all, will provide new jobs in rural areas and will contribute to an increase in added value.
