The best rural workers of the region are honored at the festival-fair "Dazhynki" in Vitebsk

November 18, Vitebsk. Vitebsk hosts the regional festival-fair of village workers "Dazhynki". Celebrations dedicated to the Day of Agricultural and Processing Industry Workers are taking place in the Vitebsk concert hall, BELTA reports.

Almost simultaneously, on the floor below, an exhibition and tasting of processing enterprises of the agro-industrial complex of the northern region opened. A ceremony honoring the winners and a festive concert await the village workers in the main hall. The best combine operators, tractor drivers, drivers, operators of grain drying complexes, managers of enterprises in the field, as well as the best regions will be named here.

Among the recipients will be representatives of the Sennen region. In particular, the tractor driver of the local branch of the Vitebsk Experimental Land Reclamation Station of the Institute of Land Reclamation enterprise, Boris Gornak. Using the KZS-12.18 Combine, he harvested 1,763 tons of grain crops. “In the Senne region there are hardworking people who conscientiously carry out their duties. People work and are focused on results. In terms of grain, we have 52% of the level of last year, but this year a certain groundwork has been made: more has been sown, more has been plowed. We hope that next year will be more favorable for us in terms of the crop production industry. In livestock farming, the indicators are more positive: 102% of MILK was received compared to last year. A lot of work is being done with the dairy herd at the enterprises of the Sennen district," said Oleg Makarevich, chairman of the Sennen district executive committee.

The holiday of workers of the village "Dazhynki" in the Vitebsk region this time repeats the concept of last year. Farmers were congratulated on the completion of agricultural work on September 29 in Sharkovshchina. The general holiday on the eve of the Day of Agricultural and Processing Industry Workers in the agro-industrial complex in the regional center is held on November 18.
