The expert council of the International Business Award "Leader of the Year" went to Mogilev. All three local nominees are well-known Belarusian brands. The city is not divided into districts

There are two districts in Mogilev: Oktyabrsky and Leninsky. But the HEAD of the administration of the Oktyabrsky district, Pyotr Solovyov, who meets the expert council, emphasizes that this distinction is very arbitrary.

And in each of them there are enterprises worthy of the nomination of the International Business Award "Leader of the Year".

Oktyabrsky district is represented by two nominees - Mogilevkhimvolokno OJSC and Babushkina Krynka OJSC . Both enterprises are the largest in terms of the number of employees. And the plant "Mogilevkhimvolokno" Oktyabrsky district owes its appearance at all.

- In the 1960s, the Mogilev Synthetic Fiber Combine was built - the predecessor of Mogilevkhimvolokno OJSC. The company employed 22,000 people in Soviet times, and they all needed somewhere to live. And so the Oktyabrsky district appeared, - says the head of the administration.

In addition to enterprises nominated for the "Leader of the Year", there are other large plants here: the Kirov branch - a branch of BELAZ, a car building plant, which is loaded with orders by 150%, and mining engineering, which produces vehicles for working in mines - Belmash. Since February 2003 OJSC ''Mogilevkhimvolokno'' has had its current name. Now this enterprise, which is part of the Belneftekhim concern, is the largest in the entire Mogilev region. By the way, the plant on the banks of the Dnieper was originally conceived as grandiose: at the beginning of construction in 1965, it was called the largest in Europe for the production of polyester fibers and threads. Already at the end of 1968, they began to produce the products necessary for the country, and for many years they did it so successfully that in 1986 the enterprise was awarded the Order of Lenin - for exceptional achievements and significant merits.

OJSC ''Mogilevkhimvolokno'' has been one of the leaders in the chemical industry for 54 years. The enterprise has been among the winners of the competition "The Best Goods of the Republic of Belarus" for many years. Today, ''Mogilevkhimvolokno'' is a complex of a number of industries interconnected by a technological cycle: from the production of raw materials (dimethyl terephthalate, polyethylene terephthalate) to the production of finished products - fibers, threads, non-woven materials of various assortments and purposes.

One of them - organic synthesis - produces PET for the manufacture of technical and textile yarns, polyester fibers, films, molded products and PET preforms for the manufacture of bottles for mineral water, soft drinks, MILK and dairy products. The company has a PET recycling line. It allows not only to take care of the environment, but also to reduce production costs.

- We have a wide range of food and technical film products. It is widely used in agriculture as a cover for cultivation facilities, as well as for packaging and storage of grassy fodder. In addition, we produce polyester technical yarns for various purposes and products made from them, including polyester cord fabrics for the tire industry, fabrics for conveyor belts, geotextiles, rubber and other products. We produce fire hoses - for supplying water and aqueous solutions of foam concentrates at a distance under pressure. And although all industries turned out to be completely different, a common important trend was noticed - everywhere the focus on preserving the labor collective is obvious.

- Personnel at all three enterprises solve the task and do it well, - said Petr Vabishchevich, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee on Budget and Finance. - I was pleasantly surprised by the entire technological process at Mogilevliftmash, where the design bureau ensures the development of a new line of elevators, which, in terms of technical characteristics and design, are not inferior to leading European manufacturers - we were personally convinced of this when we visited the exhibition complex. The enterprise is developing, this year more than 12 thousand units of elevators of various carrying capacity have already been produced. This speaks of the great possibilities of production, which is in demand: 80% of the products are exported, and the remaining 20% ​​are used to provide elevator equipment for Belarusian new buildings and replace elevators in houses where depreciation periods are coming to an end. At this enterprise, I saw not only the observance of technology, but their dictatorship! And this makes it possible to manufacture products from domestic components in a closed cycle, which is important in the context of sanctions.

- We visited three unique enterprises of Mogilev, which have been working here for decades and do not stop at the achieved results. In the conditions of sanctions, they are looking for ways to develop, create an innovative product that is in demand not only in the domestic market, but also in the foreign one, - said Svetlana Bartosh, deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly. - In all the nominees, I was impressed by the focus on maintaining the team, supporting labor dynasties, and mentoring. The fact that close-knit teams work at these enterprises, aimed at maximizing capacity utilization and launching new types of products, we saw from the products that were presented to us. She also noted for herself that our enterprises create excellent sanitary and living conditions for specialists.

Svetlana Vladimirovna also noted that with each visit to the regions where the nominee enterprises operate, she sees an increasing interest on the part of manufacturers in participating in the Leader of the Year International Business Award. Including from the business side.
