October 10, Gomel. All dairy complexes in the Gomel region must be 100% ready for the winter stall period before November 1. This task was set for the livestock sector by the Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee Ivan Krupko during an inspection of industry facilities in the Gomel region, BELTA reports.

Ivan Krupko assigned the ITF to each chairman of the district executive committee. The development of MTF for the future and the level of preparation for the winter-stall period are under the personal responsibility of the manager. Twice a week, at a meeting, one of the regions of the south-east of the country is determined, where the inspection headed by the governor will go that day. This format is being practiced for the first time. Today the monitoring group’s route is directed to the Gomel region. The chairman of the regional executive committee, the district executive committee, together with specialists, visited several dairy complexes. The first point is the MTF of the Yuzhny agricultural complex in Pokolyubichy. As reported to the governor, the cattle population is about 1.5 thousand. The MILK yield per cow is 15 liters of milk per day, and the farm continues to improve in this indicator. The daily weight gain of calves is also increased.

The governor assessed the feeding table and living conditions for adult livestock and young animals. He recalled that he personally visited this complex a year ago. “The situation has improved regarding the maintenance of adult livestock,” he noted, directing the HEAD of the agricultural enterprise and the district to work for the future. In particular, they discussed preparations for the mechanization of certain processes and the development of frame structures in barns with folding windows for a more comfortable stay for animals.

On the territory of the complex in the agricultural town of Pokolyubichi, an indoor hangar for calves is being built, similar to a dispensary. it is designed for 110 heads with a forecast of 30-35 cows per month. Individual housing with drinking, heating of milk, etc. will be provided here. The next level is group housing.

The governor focused on compliance with livestock culture and technology. “Only an economic approach will give a decent result. In October, we must reach every farm with a principled approach,” he concluded. The practice of such monitoring and inspection visits will continue.

As of October 10, 573 livestock breeding facilities have been prepared in the region, or 77% of the total, with half of them in September. “The technological state of the prepared facilities will allow us to successfully go through the winter period and ensure uninterrupted production of livestock products,” the agricultural sector emphasized.
