How to ensure a good milk yield and raise young cattle, said the director of the farm in the Smorgon district

June 9, Smorgon district. Olga Lukyanenko, DIRECTOR of the farm, told journalists how to ensure a good MILK yield and inspect cattle , during a visit to the MTC "Victoria" KSUP "AgroSoly", director of the farm Olga Lukyanenko, BelTA has learned.

“There are a lot of factors in animal husbandry that must be observed. Everything must be of high quality and technologically advanced. In this complex, everything is done so that it is convenient for people to work, and for animals, in particular cattle, to live comfortably. There are 2.3 thousand livestock "We created good conditions for them: we provided water heating in drinking bowls, feeding with a feeder, etc. So, last year we milked 9.207 liters of milk, and this is already high productivity," said Olga Lukyanenko.

According to her, for 10,000 hectares of land and almost 10,000 livestock, AgroSoly has 260 employees.

The director of the farm also drew attention to the various technologies that are used at the Victoria dairy complex.

“For feeding cows, we use four rows, when two rows of animals can line up on one side of the feed table. I note that with this method of feeding, all cows, even despite the hierarchy between animals, receive fresh feed,” Olga Lukyanenko emphasized.

In addition, special fans are installed in the barns to increase air volumes. “Ventilation is fresh air, and many factors affect the milk yield of cows, including this one. We try to make sure that the cow avoids stress and gives more, and most importantly, high-quality milk,” added the director of AgroSoly KSUP.

Among other things, 28 cameras with analytical intelligence are installed at the MTC "Victoria".

“Almost all zones in the barns have been captured for review. This equipment recognizes people’s faces, car numbers, records how many times the feeders have worked, and more. We mainly monitor whether everyone is fed and watered on time. The commodity complex employs only 32 people, but they are all very disciplined,” Olga Lukyanenko assured.

Speaking about the rearing of young cattle, she noted that the productivity of this cow in the future will depend on how to inspect the calf at the first and subsequent stages.

"A small calf is your future cow. It is also important to observe many factors here - take calving correctly, drink colostrum and so on. We stimulate people with a ruble so that they try, and this really works well. Financial incentive is important. For us, this is also it’s good, because our farm is just focused on the production of milk , from the sale of which we learn profit,” concluded the director of KSUP AgroSoly.

At the initiative of the State Control Committee, on June 8-9, a republican seminar-conference is being held in the Grodno region on the elimination of the causes and conditions that contribute to the unproductive disposal of cattle . Representatives of the KGC and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, chairmen of the committees on agriculture and food of the regional executive committees, heads and specialists of agricultural organizations took part in the seminar-meeting .

At the MTC "Victoria" KSUP "AgroSoly" the organization of veterinary services for dairy herds ( treatment , gynecology, preventive treatment), rearing of young animals of the rearing group on modern dairy complexes was studied.
