Ivanovsky and Zhabinkovsky districts are included in the Brest Region Honor Board

April 29, Ivatsevichi district. The results of the competition for achieving the best results in socio-economic development in 2023 have been summed up in the Brest region. The winners were honored in a solemn ceremony on April 29. The ceremony took place in the Kossovo Palace, BelTA correspondent reports.

The best were determined among districts, enterprises and organizations, educational, cultural, healthcare, physical culture, sports and tourism institutions.

“With all my heart I want to thank the best people of the Brest region, the leaders and their teams. We have a result. We are confidently moving forward, developing. The economy of the Brest region is stable, harmonious, with great prospects,” emphasized the Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, Yuri Shuleiko. “We are especially pleased that the Brest region is included on the Republican Board of Honor. This is pride for us.”
For achieving the best indicators in socio-economic development, the Ivanovo district was included in the regional Board of Honor. “The totality of the work of industry, agriculture and other spheres has led the district to success. Residents of the Ivanovo district are always distinguished by their entrepreneurial spirit. We are actively engaged in agriculture: fruit and vegetable growing is developed, we have gardens, we grow flowers, berries . We are leaders in the region in MILK production and raising livestock. We don’t stop there, we move on,” said Anatoly Tkachuk, Chairman of the Ivanovo District Executive Committee.

In turn, the Zhabinkovsky district was awarded for the work carried out to improve the territories and restore order. “The result was achieved thanks to the work of every resident of our district. The development features are related to the fact that Zhabinka is a satellite city of Brest. When approaching the design and construction of new neighborhoods, modern trends are applied. This concerns the creation of a comfortable and safe environment for living and for children’s leisure time and sports activities, we are improving the surrounding areas, trying to create recreation areas and parking spaces in order to make the most useful use of the land,” said Andrei Kuzmich, chairman of the Zhabinka district executive committee. Particular attention is paid to asphalting roads. This year, compared to 2023, volumes will increase by 1.5 times.
Among industrial enterprises, the first place was taken by Belsolod OJSC, the second by TermoBrest JV. Among agricultural organizations, “Molodovo-Agro” won, OJSC “Parokhonskoe” took the second position, and OJSC “Agro-Detkovichi” took third place. The work of the BrestKommunProekt enterprise, JSC Shkolnik, the Baranovichi bus depot, and the Pinsk regional postal center of the Brest branch of RUE Belposhta were highly appreciated .
The first place among organizations in the field of education went to the Brest State College of Communications, the second - to the Brest State Technical University. The Brest Regional Philharmonic Society, the Luninets Central District Hospital, and the Brest State Regional School of Olympic Reserve are included on the regional Board of Honor.
