March 11, MINSK. Exports of Belarusian food products and agricultural raw materials increased by 27% in January, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
"In January 2022, the EXPORT of Belarusian food products and agricultural raw materials increased by 27% compared to January last year, goods worth $557.8 million were delivered abroad," the press service said.
Belarusian food was supplied to 73 countries of the world in January 2022. The increase in deliveries was observed in almost all regions. Exports to the CIS countries, including the Russian Federation, increased by 19.4%, to Asia and Oceania - 2.1 times, the EU - by 64.1%, America and the Caribbean - by 7.2%. Food exports to CHINA doubled. In general, deliveries to non-CIS countries increased by 78.4% compared to January 2021.
Export of MILK and dairy products increased by 24.2%, including animal butter - by 20.1%, cheese and cottage cheese - by 28.1%, dry milk whey - by 14.6%, skimmed milk powder - by 54, 1%, whole milk powder - 95%. Deliveries of MEAT and meat products abroad increased by 36.6%, including beef - by 17.7%, poultry meat - by 2.2 times, sausages - by 30.1%. Export of fish and fish products increased by 8.7%, potatoes - by 66.5%, other vegetables and mushrooms - by 27.8%, rapeseed oil - by 94.5%, chocolate and products from it - by 39.7 %.
