February 18, MINSK. A delegation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations headed by Deputy Minister Igor Bolotov visited the Main National Headquarters of Civil Defense of the Ministry of Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba and held a working meeting with the Chief of the Main National Headquarters, General of Division Ramon Pardo Guerra. This was reported to BelTA by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The possible signing of an interdepartmental agreement on cooperation in the field of prevention and liquidation of emergency situations and the expansion of professional contacts were discussed. The Cuban side was presented with the possibilities of the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus for training Cuban specialists.
In addition, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations visited the objects of fire safety and civil defense of Cuba, as well as the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where they met with the Deputy HEAD of the Fire Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Cuba, Colonel Daniel Chavez Fuhichiro. The parties discussed the possible signing of an interdepartmental agreement on cooperation in the field of prevention and liquidation of emergencies, the expansion of professional contacts. The Cuban side was presented with proposals for the EXPORT of educational services, emergency equipment and personal protective equipment for a firefighter-rescuer of Belarusian production.
The Belarusian delegation also visited the Fidel Castro Center.
An official transfer of humanitarian aid from Belarus to Cuba is scheduled for today. There are 14 items on the list, including medicines, canned MEAT and whole MILK powder .
