Accordingly, the indication in the labeling that this is "ghee" and "butter" misleads consumers and is a violation of another technical regulation of the Customs Union "Food products in terms of their labeling" (TR CU 022/2011).

The information about the manufacturer was also unreliable. According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs, there is no such entity under this name and address in Molodechno.

In addition, the labeling of "butter" contains the designation "STB 1890-2008", which is not valid from November 1, 2018. This standard has been replaced by STB 1890-2017.

The committee said that the products of this manufacturer were already subject to restrictions in terms of withdrawal from sale in April last year, and administrative liability measures were applied to the supplier.

At the same time, there are cases when, immediately after the application of prohibitive measures, products disappear, and after a while appear on the market again. "Products with a label associated with Belarusian quality by consumers, but at a lower price, are imported in small batches from border areas and sold in markets or small trade facilities," the department added.

To prevent such practices, the State Standard adopted a decision to ban the import and circulation in the country of not a specific name, as usual, but of all dairy and fat-and-oil products of this manufacturer. Individual entrepreneurs who sold these products must ensure that they are withdrawn from circulation, returned, exported or disposed of within the time limits established by law.

"There is a deception of consumers, an example of unscrupulous business, when the image of Belarusian dairy products, which are trusted by consumers, is used, and a product of a completely different quality is offered," the press service said.

To prevent the circulation of PUE "BEL-MOL" products, the relevant information was sent to the State Customs Committee, the Ministry of Taxes and Duties, MART, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of HEALTH, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, as well as to the regional and Minsk city executive committees.

Upon detection of these products, consumers should report to the regional inspections of the State Standard.
