17 July, MINSK . The assembly of Belarusian tractors is resuming in Cuba. This was announced by Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko during a meeting with Prime Minister of Cuba Manuel Marrero Cruz, BELTA has learned.


"For our part, we are ready to continue deliveries of powdered MILK, engineering products, spare parts and other in-demand goods to Cuba. it is very important that we were able to agree on the resumption of production of Belarusian tractors in Cuba. During your visit to Belarus in November 2023, we agreed to sign a roadmap for the resumption of such production. And this agreement was implemented. In addition, the first contracts for the supply of tractor kits to Cuban enterprises were signed. We really count on the success of this project," Roman Golovchenko said.
Cooperation with Cuba in the medical field is of great interest to Belarus. "We have been implementing a project for a long time to produce medicines from a Cuban company in Belarus. But we want to deepen the localization of production of these drugs and transfer the relevant technologies. Such discussions are underway between the Ministry of HEALTH of Belarus and the manufacturer. I ask the Cuban government to provide support in this matter," the Prime Minister noted.
The creation of a joint pharmaceutical enterprise between the Belarusian Akademfarm and the Cuban company is almost at the finish line.

"In addition to our traditional interest in medical drugs - by the way, the registration of one of the innovative Cuban oncological drugs was recently completed in Belarus - we are interested in supplies of rum, cocoa beans,coffee , fruit puree and other items. We are ready to discuss these topics and, upon reaching agreements on price and quality, include them in our trade exchange scheme," the HEAD of the Belarusian government noted.
"We value our special relations with fraternal Cuba and are ready to develop them across the entire spectrum of bilateral cooperation," Roman Golovchenko summed up.
