April 1, Svetlogorsk. This year, agriculture has received unprecedented state support, Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko told reporters, BelTA has learned.
According to Roman Golovchenko, intense tasks have been set for this year in the production of agricultural products, which are raw materials for processors and food manufacturers. "We have to collect 9 million tons of grain. We have increased plans for the collection of rapeseed, corn, potatoes, the production of MILK, MEAT - all the main production categories. All this is aimed at ensuring our own security. But mainly this is all done in order to receive additional revenue from the sale of agricultural products and products for EXPORT," he said.
As the Prime Minister explained, the demand for agricultural products is quite large. “Already now, many countries are offering us to conclude forward and future contracts. They are ready to advance virtually 100% in advance so that we grow potatoes or other crops and then sell them with a guarantee. So far, there is no need for such schemes. We work according to the traditional scheme. We advance agriculture This year, as never before, financial support for the agro-industrial complex is provided at a high level. In 2021, budget expenditures at all levels on agriculture increased by almost 1.5 times compared to 2020. This year, they increased by another 10%. during the year, we financed some narrow sections where the participation of budgetary funds was required, then we put them in the budget right away," Roman Golovchenko explained.
The pace of the sowing campaign is on the agenda. “Agrarians have practically no questions about providing financial resources for the sowing campaign. Fuel and lubricants, plant protection products, seeds, fertilizers are in the required amount. it is clear that the situation can vary by farm even within the same district. the situation is better than last year," said Roman Golovchenko. And this, according to the Prime Minister, gives good reason to believe that the harvest will be worthy: "Not only Belarusians, but also our partners from friendly countries will be provided with bread, meat and milk."
