September 28, MINSK. Sales of MEAT and dairy products abroad at reduced prices have been revealed in the Vitebsk region, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade.
To ensure food security, from June 11, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food introduced marginal minimum prices for certain goods (cattle meat, butter, some cheeses, MILK and cream) sold under foreign trade agreements. "The main department of MART in the Vitebsk region, based on the results of control and analytical measures, found that certain business entities of the Vitebsk region do not comply with the requirements of the legislation on prices and pricing when selling food products for EXPORT," the MART noted. For example, in June 2022, one of the enterprises, under a foreign trade agreement, sold 1.4 tons of semi-hard cheese in the assortment to a non-resident of Belarus at a price below the minimum limit set by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. The total amount of the difference between the actual proceeds received by the company from the sale of goods under a foreign trade agreement and the estimated amount of proceeds from the sale of these goods at prices established in accordance with the law amounted to almost 83 thousand Russian rubles (when converted at the NBRB rate on the date of shipment a little over Br3.8 thousand).
A similar violation of the law was established based on the analysis of information provided by another enterprise. In June-July, the Company sold 6.8 tons of meat from young cattle to Uzbekistan at a cost below the minimum limit. In this case, the total amount of the difference between the actual proceeds under the foreign trade agreement and the estimated amount of proceeds from the sale of these goods at prices established in accordance with the law amounted to about $800.
The Economic COURT of the Vitebsk region for the committed violations of the legislation on prices and pricing in relation to these two companies and guilty officials issued a decision on administrative penalties.
