April 2, Grodno. Delegates to the All-Belarusian People's Assembly were elected at a session of the Grodno Regional Council of Deputies, BELTA reports.

At the national meeting, the Grodno region will be represented by seven delegates from the regional Council of Deputies, 16 from district and city councils at the basic level and 15 from local councils. “This includes representatives of the agro-industrial complex, industry, construction, education, housing and communal services and a number of other spheres,” said the chairman of the regional Council of Deputies, Elena Pasyuta. “Half of the elected delegates are members of the White Rus' party.” Women also make up half of the delegates from the councils of deputies. These are people of different ages - from youth to adulthood, with work experience and high professional achievements. Many have experience working in the deputy corps at various levels. I am convinced that our candidates understand all the responsibility that lies with the delegates of the Supreme Council and will adequately represent the Grodno region ".
As Elena Pasyuta noted, there was an active discussion in the region of the candidates nominated to participate in the national forum. The best are given the honor of representing the region. Each of them has not only the necessary knowledge, but also social, political and, very importantly, life experience.

“I grew up in a simple Belarusian family, graduated from a rural school and entered the Grodno State University, which gave me a start in life,” said Irina Kiturko, deputy of the Grodno Regional Council of Deputies, rector of the Grodno State University named after Y. Kupala, about herself. “Today is a big day for me.” it is an honor to represent Grodno State University, which has a large resource in the form of a worthy teaching staff and a team of energetic, creative students who take an active civic position.The university hosted dialogue platforms to discuss changes and additions to the Constitution, the Concept of State Security, and thematic scientific conferences. "In my life I have already taken part in the sixth All-Belarusian People's Assembly. Now to participate in the work of the seventh All-Belarusian People's Assembly, endowed with new powers, is a special responsibility." Irina Kiturko assured that she is ready to invest all her knowledge, experience and civic position in the work of the Supreme Council, which will be a significant platform for solving strategic problems of the development of Belarus. I will make every effort to create conditions that attract young people to the village, to small towns, I will use my own life experience for this." Her position was supported by a young DOCTOR , the head of the Benyakon outpatient clinic in the Voronovsky district, Vitaly Kiselevsky. “I know every resident in my area by sight,” he noted. “I know their wishes, interests, requests. This helps in communicating with people, and not only as a doctor, but also as a deputy of the village council.”
Olga Lukyanenko, well-known in the Grodno region, also spoke about how important it is to develop the village. “I am a man of land and labor,” she said. “I live in the countryside, I work in agriculture. And I know for sure: if we have, figuratively speaking, bread and MILK , then there will be schools, clubs, libraries, there will be housing for young families ". Olga Lukyanenko is concerned about the topic of securing youth in the village. She does a lot for this on her farm and believes that this issue deserves attention at the All-Belarusian People's Assembly.

The deputies supported the nominated candidates and unanimously voted to elect them as delegates to the seventh All-Belarusian People's Assembly. As Alexander Yuzhik, a member of the Republican Election Commission and Deputy Head of the Main Department of Justice of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee, who took part in the session, noted, the elections of delegates to the Supreme Council were held in full accordance with the law.
