January 27, MINSK. The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange is ready to ensure uninterrupted supplies of Belarusian agricultural products to CHINA . This was stated by Andrey Novikov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of BUCE, during a meeting with representatives of China Engineering Corporation SAMC (CAMCE), which expressed interest in purchasing MEAT and other agricultural products using the exchange mechanism, BelTA learned from the BUCE press service.

"Our platform allows you to accumulate offers from the largest Belarusian agricultural producers. Thus, we will be able, firstly, to always provide the volume of products you need, and secondly, the rhythm of deliveries. In addition, the exchange controls the execution of all concluded transactions. That is, in comparison with work on over-the-counter schemes, the risk is minimal," Andrey Novikov stressed.

He also noted that since CAMCE is the largest shareholder of the China-Belarus Industrial Park "Great Stone", this opens up broad prospects for cooperation in the field of logistics. "Given the existing infrastructure and location, the Great Stone could become an ideal logistics hub for the consolidation of containerized goods that are sold to China through the exchange. First of all, these are lumber, rapeseed oil, powdered MILK , meat and flax fiber. All these commodity positions are in great demand in the Chinese market, so there will be no problems with filling containers," the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of BUCE is sure.

In turn, the deputy HEAD of the CAMCE representative office in Belarus, Zou Da, confirmed the corporation's readiness to develop cooperation with BUCE in terms of purchasing beef, and in the future, other agricultural products put up for exchange auctions. “In 2021, our subsidiary purchased $4 million worth of beef from Belarus. This year we would like to increase the volume of purchases, including through the exchange platform. At the same time, we are interested not only in meat, but also in other agricultural products of Belarusian production. With the help of the exchange, we expect to expand the range of suppliers and conclude deals on more favorable terms than under direct contracts. As for your proposal on logistics, we will also work it out in detail and give feedback in the near future," the representative of CAMCE assured.

CAMCE was founded in 2001 and is part of the China National Machinery Corporation (SINOMACH) group of companies, a state-owned enterprise under the direct control of the PRC central government. CAMCE has 9 large subsidiaries, more than 30 branches in China and 60 overseas.
