November 19, Grodno. Refugees from the temporary accommodation center near the border are grateful to the Belarusians for their help. They told this to a BelTA correspondent.
Today there are several thousand refugees on the Belarusian-Polish border. Now they are in a temporary accommodation facility in the transport and logistics center, which was created on behalf of the President of Belarus.
“I moved here with my wife and two children from a camp near the border. Conditions are much better here. We spend the night warm, under a roof. We are provided with everything necessary. There is even MILK for the children. Thanks to Belarus for this,” says one refugee. He says that everyone is now waiting for news on how the situation will be resolved.
"I want to go to Germany for the sake of my children. My wife and I have not been able to find a decent job in Kurdistan. Although we want and can work," the refugee emphasizes. He does not want to return home.
The refugee says that she has already been to Germany with her parents. Now they are trying to get back there. “We are not dependents, as some people think. My parents worked hard there. My father was a builder. He carried weights on his hands to high floors,” she says.
Now there are about 2 thousand people in the temporary accommodation center in the TLC. They are provided with hot meals, drinking water, bedding. The car shop is open during the day. There is a 24-hour medical support.
