March 20, MINSK. Belarusian food producers signed contracts worth $2 million at the Agritek exhibition in Qatar, BelTA learned from the Belinterexpo exhibition company of the BelCCI.
The exposition Made in Belarus was presented at the international agricultural exhibition "Agritech", which was held from 15 to 19 March in Doha (Qatar). Belarus took part in this event for the first time with the assistance of the Belarusian Embassy in Qatar. Belinterexpo BelCCI enterprise became the organizer of the Belarusian exposition and the exclusive representative of the international exhibition in Qatar.During the exhibition, Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1 signed contracts for the supply of MILK powder to Qatar, Kuwait and Oman. The total amount of contracts was $2 million.
"Pavilion of Belarusian manufacturers "Belarus. The Taste of Nature" from the very first day enjoyed great interest from the participants, including the business community of Qatar. During the exhibition, the Belarusian exposition was visited by the seventh Emir of Qatar, Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, and the sister of the ruling emir. High-ranking guests of the pavilion were pleasantly surprised by the quality it is worth noting that the pavilion aroused particular interest not only among the visitors of the exhibition, but also among the Qatar mass media,” Belinterexpo noted.
In total, 9 manufacturers of Belarus took part in the international exhibition among more than 670 exhibitors from 55 countries of the world. The favorites of the Belarusian pavilion visitors were natural birch sap without SUGAR, smoked quail eggs, cheese curds and ice cream. Also at the exhibition were presented novelties of production - cheeses from the Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1, products with the addition of whey from the Glubokoe Dairy Plant, beef tenderloin in natural mold and baked brisket from the Mogilev MEAT Processing Plant, hulled grain of wheat and rye from Lidakhleboprodukt, and also dry mixes for making ice cream from the Slutsk CHEESE FACTORY.
At the closing ceremony of the exhibition, a conference was held for its participants, during which information about Belarus, its economic and investment potential was presented. A separate block was devoted to food security and the activities of Belarusian companies.
