February 19, MINSK. At the Gulfood food exhibition in Dubai, Belarusian enterprises agreed to supply products to 20 countries of the world, BelTA learned from the Belinterexpo exhibition company of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Dubai hosted the world's largest exhibition of food products Gulfood, which was attended by more than 4 thousand companies from 120 countries. Belarus has presented the national pavilion at this prestigious international venue for the seventh year in a row.

As a result of participation, domestic enterprises agreed on the supply of their products to distributors and wholesale buyers from around the world. In particular, the Dzerzhinsky agricultural complex agreed on the supply of poultry MEAT to Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and its subsidiary 1st Minsk Poultry Farm - eggs to African countries and the Emirate of Dubai. Molochny Mir company - on the supply of butter to the EU countries, the Lida Dairy Plant - skimmed MILK powder to the Emirate of Dubai and the Republic of Korea, whole milk powder - to Azerbaijan.

Importers from Bangladesh, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, the usa , Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and the Philippines became interested in dairy products presented in the Belarusian exposition . Negotiations were held on the supply of finished products to large retail chains in the UAE.

The national pavilion "Belarus - Taste of Nature" included stands of 10 companies. Seven enterprises represented Grodno region, three - Minsk and Minsk region. Participants of the Belarusian exposition presented a wide range of meat and dairy products - poultry, beef, semi-finished products, canned food, offal, powdered milk , powdered milk mixtures and much more. New products were also presented - baby food, curd creams, cheeses.

The opening ceremony of the Belarusian exposition was attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Alla Lomakina, General DIRECTOR of the managing company of the holding "Grodnomyasomolprom" Valeryan Klim, Consul General of Belarus in Dubai Yevgeny Lazarev and Director of the exhibition enterprise "Belinterexpo" BelCCI Yevgeny Vvedensky.

"The EXPORT of food products from Belarus to the UAE has grown ninefold since 2016, to $3.4 million in 2021. The Gulfood exhibition plays its role in this as a good platform for concluding export contracts with importers from far abroad. To all Belarusian products, presented at the stand, there was great interest. Negotiations were ongoing," said Ksenia Meleshko, HEAD of the main department for foreign economic activity of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

The organizer of the Belarusian exposition at the international food and beverage exhibition Gulfood is the Belinterexpo exhibition company of the BelCCI. The event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus, the Embassy of Belarus in the United Arab Emirates, the state agency Dubai Industries and Exports, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In the near future, Belarusian expositions will be presented at major food and multidisciplinary exhibitions in Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Serbia, Kenya and other countries.
