August 21, MINSK . The delegation of the Belarusian Embassy in China visited the city of Xi'an in Shaanxi province to participate in the 8th international Xi'an tourism exhibition "The Great Silk Road - 2023". A BELTA correspondent was told about this at the Belarusian foreign office in Beijing.
During the official events, diplomats took part in the opening ceremony of the exhibition, a forum for the development of tourist cities of countries along the Silk Road, at which the senior adviser of the embassy Oksana Konstantinovich made a presentation of the cultural and tourism potential of the Republic of Belarus .
At the Xi'an Tourism EXPO, the embassy organized the work of the Belarusian national pavilion with an emphasis on promoting Belarusian tourism and culture. In addition to information about Belarus' capabilities in this direction, the stand presented products from well-known Belarusian food manufacturers, including Kommunarka chocolate and Bellakt MILK powder . Belarusian products were in great demand among participants and visitors of the event.
Embassy staff also held business meetings with representatives of the region's business community, including the cross-border e-commerce company GuoGuo Crossboundary. The parties discussed current issues of cooperation in the trade, economic, investment and humanitarian spheres, and also exchanged views on promising areas of interaction in the field of culture and tourism.
Xi'an is the administrative center and the largest scientific, technical, educational and cultural center of Shaanxi Province with a population of more than 10 million people. The region has developed petrochemical industries, mechanical engineering, and food production. Being one of the oldest cities in China , it retains its status as a major tourist center and an important logistics hub of the modern Silk Road. The Eighth International Xi'an Tourism Exhibition "The Great Silk Road - 2023" is dedicated to the international development of the tourism industry and the achievements of the tourism industry in countries located along the Silk Road.
