Russian scientists have developed feed recipes from various expired products. Illiquid seafood, cereals, bread and vegetables will be used, the Russian Ecological Operator reports.
Compound feed-confentrates are suitable for almost all farm animals: cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, horses, rabbits, poultry. They can also be used to feed fish, fur-bearing animals, nutria and game.
For the preparation of feed, expired wheat, barley, bread, apples, white cabbage, pollock and squid, etc. are suitable

it is assumed that this way of recycling food will help solve the problem of the high cost of animal feed and the lack of feed protein necessary for the production of animal products.
"Organics and products with an expiration date, which are formed in retail and catering establishments, can be returned to economic circulation and become animal feed. And if the processing of MSW fractions in our country is gradually gaining momentum, then the use of food waste for the manufacture of secondary raw materials is no more than 10%. The disposal of such waste adversely affects the environment and public HEALTH, pollutes the air, soil and water bodies. Processing food waste will solve the most important national economic problem," said Denis Butsaev, DIRECTOR General of the REO.
Scientists have proposed technologies for the processing of delay by digestion of waste under pressure with subsequent drying, the use of the "dry" extrusion method, the method of drying with superheated steam, the method of drying using a combined convective and microwave energy supply.
It is assumed that such facilities for the processing of expired products will appear on the basis of eight ecotechnoparks, which will appear in RUSSIA in the near future. One of them will be located in the Nadezhdinsky district of Primorye.
The REO reported that negotiations are currently underway with retailers on the possibility of supplying expired food products.
