It's all about the mandatory rules, according to which the veterinarian is obliged to check the MEAT of killed animals by conducting trichinoscopy - to examine the muscles of the animal for the presence of trichinosis pathogen larvae in them.
A DOCTOR of the 1st category of the Lyubimsky regional veterinary station made an analysis of the carcass of a bear killed while hunting and revealed trichinosis in the dead animal. But he went on an official forgery, issuing a certificate to the chairman of the local branch of the society of hunters and fishermen that the bear had no disease, supplementing the document with a conclusion “on the possibility of selling meat for personal consumption” and entering information about the negative result of the analysis in a special journal.
According to the investigation, the veterinarian took such a step because of a long-standing friendly relationship with a hunter, and also not wanting to spoil the statistics in the Lyubimsky district for a dangerous disease, “reliably knowing that trichinosis is one of the most dangerous animal diseases, entails establishing restrictive measures (quarantine) in the served territory.
But it was not possible to hide this fact, a criminal case was opened against the veterinarian under the article “Official forgery”. He fully admitted his guilt, gave confessions and wrote a confession. During the consideration of the criminal case in COURT, the defense filed a motion to terminate the criminal case against the physician "in connection with active repentance." The public prosecutor did not raise any objections. It was also taken into account that "parts of the animal obtained for sale, use were not received and were not received."
Therefore, the Lyubimsky District Court granted the motion of the defense and dismissed the criminal case. In August 2023, the decision entered into force.
