Yaroslavl Region Governor Mikhail Evraev noted that the agro-industrial complex is one of the leaders in the region's economic growth, with a stable increase in food production. Yaroslavl Region maintains its leadership in egg production in the Central Federal District and ranks second in RUSSIA.

The region's poultry complexes are developing new areas related to deep egg processing . The growth rate of production in the food sector was 3% last year, and in beverages - 5%. More than 20 cheese-making enterprises have doubled their output over the past three years, reaching 19 thousand tons in 2024. The Yaroslavl Region also took second place in the Central Federal District in ice cream production, increasing volumes by almost 11% to 40 thousand tons.

In addition, in 2024, the volume of commercial fish production in the region increased by 35%, and the total amount of fish and fish products reached 3 thousand tons, which ensured a self-sufficiency level of 9.2%.

The government actively helps the agro-industrial complex by providing land plots without tenders for investment projects and offering preferential loans for the modernization of enterprises. In 2024, the region's agro-industrial companies received 17 loans totaling almost 150 million rubles.
