X5 Group is also working to replace outdated sales formats, such as salads in trays with spoons, as they do not meet corporate safety standards. Lobacheva noted that in some remote regions there are not enough suppliers with the necessary level of technology, which makes it difficult to ensure the required safety standards at all stages of the supply chain.

The company has opened two factory kitchens and will actively develop its own production to improve the range of ready-to-eat foods, which currently relies heavily on third-party suppliers.
