The city COURT of Labytnangi (YaNAO) found the owner of the local restaurant "Burger House" Sabuhi Akhmedov guilty.
The owner of the burger shop was convicted of violating sanitary and epidemiological rules, which negligently caused mass illness and poisoning of people (part 1 of article 236 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and sentenced to restriction of freedom for a year and a half.
The incident, which was investigated by the Investigative Department of the ICR for the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, occurred in May 2021: after visiting a burger shop, 36 minors were poisoned by a bun stuffed with beef cutlet, 25 of them were hospitalized with food poisoning. All are recognized as victims. The district prosecutor's office exacted compensation from the entrepreneur in the amount of 150 rubles in favor of the teenagers.
Employees of the Investigative Committee of the ICR seized product samples, interrogated employees of the burger shop and involved specialists from the Rospotrebnadzor department in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug in the investigation. it was established that the owner of the establishment systematically ignored elementary sanitary and epidemiological requirements for the organization of public catering.
In the burger shop, control over the cooking process was not organized, the catering staff did not follow the basic rules of hygiene and allowed poor-quality processing of dishes, equipment and premises. The burgers were made using homemade sauce. In addition, Akhmedov tried to contact the victims under the pretext of targeted assistance, but, according to their testimony, he actually tried to obtain receipts for the absence of claims.
