The Office of the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR for St. Petersburg, the Leningrad and Pskov regions, in the course of interdepartmental activities with the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RUSSIA for the city of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, revealed a St. Petersburg company that carried out illegal circulation of MEAT products.
The monitoring group of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration, using the Mercury system, conducted an analysis of the activities of the Baltimport company, during which the inspectors of the department revealed that the company received goods from Crossart LLC. At the same time, information from the "Mercury" system showed that no raw materials were supplied to the site of LLC "Crossart", however, finished meat products were regularly sent to LLC "Baltimport". Thus, the specialists of the Office of the Rosselkhoznadzor recorded the absence of traceability of products, documents confirming the origin of raw materials, respectively, there was also no guarantee of the quality and safety of goods.
Employees of the Department of Rosselkhoznadzor together with officials of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs carried out a visit to the address of the company indicated in the FSIS "Mercury".
In warehouses occupied by LLC Baltimport, 12 tons of frozen beef liver were found and confiscated, on the labeling of which LLC Crossart was indicated as a manufacturer. Subsequently, all seized products were destroyed.
Officials of the Department of Rosselkhoznadzor excluded the site of the Crossart company from the Cerberus system. The account of the authorized person was canceled without the possibility of restoring access for entering deliberately false data into the FSIS "Mercury".
As a result of the investigative actions carried out, as well as the analysis of the information provided by the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration on the fact of the discovery and seizure of these products, a criminal case was initiated against the General DIRECTOR of Baltimport LLC.
At the end of February 2021, the criminal case, together with the indictment, was sent to the Kirovsky District COURT of St. Petersburg. To date, the case is considered on the merits.
