Victoria Abramchenko announced the timing of the start of supplies of Russian pork to China

“Perhaps by the middle of next year,” the publication quotes the deputy prime minister as saying. This is how she answered the question about the projected date for the start of deliveries on the sidelines of the RUSSIA exhibition, which opened at VDNKh.

According to Victoria Abramchenko, it is now necessary to draw up a number of documents, including the relevant protocol, the conditions for the examination of specific enterprises that will supply pork to the Chinese market.

We would like to remind you that at the end of September, CHINA lifted all epizootic restrictions on the entire territory of Russia, which in the future makes it possible to begin supplies of domestic pork to the PRC, taking into account regionalization.

For 10 years since 2013, ROSSELKHOZNADZOR has carried out large-scale work to ensure that Russian pork is allowed on the Chinese market .

As reported by Rosselkhoznadzor, China is now preparing a large questionnaire on food safety. Based on the responses provided to this questionnaire, conditions for food and epizootic safety will be formulated. The next stage is the preparation and approval of a protocol on the conditions for the supply of pork from Russia to China and the approval of a veterinary certificate for  EXPORT . Specific conditions for the supply of Russian pork to China will be specified in the protocol. The final stage is the certification of enterprises. After agreeing on the conditions for the supply of pork, Rosselkhoznadzor intends to work out the requirements for the export of finished products from this type of MEAT.

The National Union of Pig Breeders sets a strategic goal in the next few years to develop about 10% of the Chinese import market, increasing the export of Russian pork to China to 150-200 thousand tons.
