The Southeast Asian country, with a population of about 100 million, is considered an important market in the global chicken trade.

Every year, the country imports about 170 thousand tons of poultry MEAT and processed products. Currently, Brazil is the seventh largest exporter of these products to Asia: in 2024 , sales will amount to 11 thousand tons.

"Vietnam is a high-value-added market for offal and legs, and demand for these products is high. "The opening, made possible by the active work of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock in conjunction with the private sector, should be an important factor in the growth of the final result of Brazilian exports this year," emphasizes ABPA President Ricardo Santin.

In 2024, Brazil exported about US $4 billion to Vietnam , with the main commodities being cereals, FLOUR and flour-based products, as well as fibres and textiles, and soybeans.
