Alexander Pokhodin, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, stated that as of Thursday morning, March 30, 3,460 pigs had been alienated in the region. In the villages of Marinino (Kuraginsky district) and Karatuzskoye (Karatuzsky district), the process has not yet been completed. 18 tons of MEAT products were seized from producers and processors.

As it turned out, the owner of the farm in the village of Malaya Minusa, where the first outbreak arose, bought meat processing waste (bone residue and pork skin) in Abakan for animal feed, said Valentin Filimokhin, acting HEAD of the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR department for the Krasnoyarsk Territory .

In December, in Chernogorsk, which is located 16 kilometers northwest of Abakan, there was a mass death of pigs, but this became known only in March, when the infected remains of 17 animals were found in an abandoned mine. The burial of 107 pigs was also found in the vicinity of Malaya Minusa: the farmer tried to hide the outbreak of ASF.
