Poultry business to receive new support in Uzbekistan

Subsidies for the production of eggs will be increased by 3 times, for the procurement of poultry MEAT - by 2 times.

On June 8, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at which it was noted what should be given to areas that give high results in a short time. One such industry is the poultry industry.

For example, to gain 1 kilogram of weight, a bird needs 1.7 kg of feed, and cattle - 8 kg of feed. However, the country produces little poultry meat and eggs per capita.

In this regard, the meeting identified new mechanisms to support poultry farming. Thus, the amount of subsidies for the production of eggs will be increased by 3 times, for the procurement of poultry meat - by 2 times.

Producers of feed and poultry products will be reimbursed for part of the loans received to replenish working capital and implement poultry projects, in excess of the base rate of the Central Bank.

Part of the costs for projects to create modern poultry cutting facilities will be compensated. Profit, property, land and water tax rates for poultry enterprises will be reduced by 50%.

The state, through Microcreditbank, will allocate $50 million for the implementation of relevant projects.

Officials have been instructed to introduce these benefits and help enterprises reach full capacity.
