The volume of agricultural products in North Ossetia increased by 2.4% in the first half of 2022 compared to the same period last year - up to 5.8 billion rubles. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic Alan Kusraev.
"For the first half of this year, the index of agricultural production amounted to 102.4%, and the volume of gross output - 5.8 billion rubles. The increase in the production index is associated with an increase in the production of livestock products - MEAT, MILK; as well as with an increase in the number of cattle, sheep and goats, birds," Kusraev said.
According to him, measures of state support for agricultural producers also contribute to the growth of indicators. In 2022, 123.28 million rubles are provided for the development of family farms; to support farmers and develop rural cooperation (Agrostartup grant)" - 154.22 million rubles.
This year, 13 family farms and 69 applicants for Agrostartup grants will receive funds for development.
Thanks to grant support, from 2018 to 2021, 293 new farms were created, about 6 thousand heads of cattle, 12.5 thousand heads of breeding stock were purchased, about 20 thousand square meters were built. m. of greenhouses, about 1800 bee colonies, fish stock for the development of fish farming, about 90 thousand birds were purchased.
Grain, confectionery, low-alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks traditionally form the basis of exports of North Ossetian agro-industrial products. The republic supplies products to Georgia, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, the United Arab Emirates and other countries.
According to the Federal Customs Service, in 2021, agricultural products worth usd 71.0 million were exported from North Ossetia . The forecast indicator was fulfilled by 160.6%.
