“In principle, we expect to increase our deliveries to Africa tenfold by 2025 and bring them to at least 20 thousand tons. We are now additionally working on the assortment for African countries, there are various ideas - both our former Soviet bouillon cubes, and MMO (mechanically deboned MEAT , used as a raw material for semi-finished products or finished products - ed.), and the traditional assortment," Antonov said.

GAP Resurs has been supplying its products ( poultry is the key ) to Africa for ten years, and the most successful years in this regard, according to Antonov, were 2020 and 2021. "For us then there were three main centers for the supply of meat products - this is the Middle East, Southeast Asia and the CIS. Africa was supposed to be the fourth: during this period, about 7,000 tons were delivered annually, but, unfortunately, covid and logistical restrictions made some adjustments to our plans," he explained. Deliveries are currently going to more than 60 countries

, and the processing plants and distribution centers of the company are certified for deliveries to 21 countries: these are Angola, Benin, Hong Kong, Guinea, Congo, Egypt, Kenya, Liberia, Libya, Mauritania, Mozambique, Sierra Leone , Tanzania and some others.
Antonov also announced plans for humanitarian deliveries to Africa, asking for assistance from the HEAD of the FGUB Agroexport, Dmitry Krasnov, for support for UN deliveries and humanitarian aid. “Unfortunately, we still have not mastered this method of delivery: the financial conditions for participation in the tender are also embarrassing, and some excessive requirements for products that are also supplied to Africa are embarrassing. In particular, these are 24 months of storage of frozen products - we think it can be eaten much earlier," Antonov said.

He also pointed out the company's interest in participating in the construction of infrastructure in Africa - for example, transshipment facilities, refrigerators, including its own vehicles.
