Since the beginning of the year, Primorye livestock breeders have produced more than 16.7 thousand tons of pork - their own feed base makes it possible to restrain the rise in prices for products under sanctions, a REGNUM correspondent was told in the press service of the regional government.

The launch of new capacities of the Rusagro, Primorsky Bacon and Mercy Trade companies made it possible to increase pork production in the region by 2.7 times compared to last year.

In all agricultural organizations of the region, the number of pigs has doubled - up to 355 thousand.

According to experts, their own feed base allows enterprises to stabilize prices and provide residents of the region with natural products, including within the framework of the regional programs "Primorskoye is the best!" and "Keep prices".

As REGNUM reported, the domestic market of the Russian Federation has exhausted the potential for rising prices for many types of MEAT and meat products, said Professor of the Basic Department of Trade Policy of the Russian University of Economics. G. V. Plekhanov Ibragim Ramazanov. According to him, it is likely that in 2022 there will be an increase in prices for all types of meat and products of its processing.
