On Tuesday, May 11, in the Kirovsky District COURT of St. Petersburg, a trial began in a criminal case on the smuggling of poultry offal for a total amount of about 120 million rubles.

Employees of the North-Western Transport Prosecutor's Office specified that a group of five people, residents of Moscow, the Leningrad and Tula regions, are accused of the crime.

The weight of by-products sent through the seaport of St. Petersburg to CHINA and Vietnam exceeded 1.4 thousand tons. For smuggling poultry products, the defendants face imprisonment for a term of seven to 12 years and a fine of up to 1 million rubles.
