On Wednesday, July 14, in the village of Chastoozerye, a regional center in the east of the Kurgan region, a new enterprise for slaughter and primary processing of livestock was launched, equipped according to international quality and safety standards.

After the implementation of the investment project of Veles MEAT Processing Plant LLC , 25 additional jobs appeared in the Chastoozersky district. The complex is located on the border with the Tyumen region.

Virtually waste-free closed-loop production with a high level of automation is designed to process 80 HEAD of cattle or 300 head of pigs per shift. The output of meat on the bone will be about 20 tons per day. A building for the processing of biological waste into bone meal was built nearby. 

Vladislav Kuznetsov, Vice Governor of the Kurgan Region, who was present at the opening ceremony, said that since 2017, the Veles meat processing plant has invested 1.3 billion rubles in the regional economy. He noted not only the good technical level of the new facility, but also its importance for the social sphere and infrastructure of the Chastoozerye village.
