In the Chuvash Republic, with the help of FSIS “Mercury”, illegal extension of shelf life and substitution of the composition of dairy and meat products was revealed

One of the frequently identified violations when issuing veterinary certificates is the extension of the shelf life of products through the execution of a “processing/production” transaction, when the same type of product is indicated for the manufactured product, but with different, later expiration dates.

Thus, with the help of this scheme, the authorized person of the MILK processing enterprise SSSPC "Ecoproduct" (Batyrevsky municipal district) extended the shelf life of 54,168 kg of skim milk produced by the enterprise from May to October 2023. Consequently, the manufacturer illegally released into circulation products that do not meet the requirements of veterinary and sanitary rules and regulations - extending the shelf life violates the requirements of the technical regulation “On food safety” TR CU 021/2011.

Another “typical” violation committed by users of the FSIS “Mercury” is the registration of production eVSD for livestock products that do not coincide with the specified raw material composition.

Thus, from September to October, the state veterinarian serving the MEAT processing enterprise ChMK LLC (Cheboksary) issued eVSD for 119.36 kg of “Piece sausages with turkey”, however, according to the Federal State Information System “Mercury”, the name of the raw materials used includes turkey meat absent. Registration of such transactions violates the principle of traceability and does not make it possible to guarantee the quality and safety of the products sold.

In order to counter the illegal trafficking of regulated products, the territorial department of ROSSELKHOZNADZOR sent warnings to business entities about the inadmissibility of violating the mandatory requirements of veterinary legislation and proposed to take measures to comply with them. Registration of an authorized person in the VetIS.Passport information system has been suspended. Information about identified violations committed by a veterinarian was sent to the State Veterinary Service of Chuvashia for action.
