Uzbekistan intends to stabilize the rise in prices for poultry MEAT and eggs. Producers will receive special subsidies for each kilogram of poultry meat sold and each egg sold.

This is provided for by the presidential decree "On Additional Measures Aimed at the Development of Poultry Farming and Strengthening the Feed Base of the Industry."

Starting June 1, 2021, poultry farms, payers of value added tax, are allocated subsidies from the republican budget in the amount of 50 soums for each sold egg and 1,000 soums for each kilogram of poultry meat sold.

Now producers incur a loss of 15 soums in the production of one egg, and the net profit in the production of 1 kg of meat is only 369 soums. As a result, it is planned that by the end of the year, about 450 thousand tons of poultry meat will be produced in the country.

In addition, the Ministry of Finance will allocate subsidies in the amount of 10 percent of their project cost, but not exceeding 40 billion soums, to business entities that put into operation modern complexes designed for slaughtering poultry, including poultry slaughterhouses and freezers.

Other benefits for manufacturers include:

starting from July 1, 2021 to July 1, 2024 in relation to business entities whose main activity is poultry farming, on income tax (excluding interest received from funds placed in commercial banks), property tax, land tax and the tax rate for the use of water resources is 50 percent;

for a period until July 1, 2022, business entities (their authorized representatives) - exporters of eggs, poultry meat and poultry products, as well as importers of soybeans, are provided with subsidies for compensation of up to 50 percent of the costs of transportation by road, rail and air;

expenses of enterprises-members of the Association "Parrandasanoat" for attracting experts and specialists in the field of poultry farming from foreign countries, as well as 50 percent of their six-monthly wages, not exceeding the equivalent of $1,000 per month, are to be covered. At the same time, 5 billion soums are allocated from the reserve fund of the Cabinet of Ministers for these expenses.
