Over the past ten years, the Krasnoyarsk Territory has demonstrated impressive results in the production of MEAT and dairy products. Since 2014, production volumes of pork, beef and venison have almost quadrupled, reaching 57.9 thousand tons per year. This growth was made possible by a combination of various factors, including support from local manufacturers and the introduction of modern technologies.

Meat production: dynamics and achievements

According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, the production of pork, beef and venison increased by 3.65 times. This indicates significant progress in the meat sector, which has become one of the key areas of the region’s agro-industrial complex. However, if we talk about poultry farming, the growth here was more modest: poultry meat production increased to 30 thousand tons, and the volume of semi-finished meat products reached 54.7 thousand tons, which is also a positive result.

This growth in meat production not only meets the needs of the local population, but also creates EXPORT opportunities. The increase in production volumes allowed the region to take a more stable position in the Russian market, which is especially important in conditions of economic instability.

Dairy industry: new horizons

No less impressive successes are observed in the dairy sector. Over the past ten years, cheese production has increased sixfold, reaching 1.8 thousand tons. This became possible thanks to the modernization of production facilities and the introduction of new technologies. There is also an increase in the production of butter by 30%, condensed MILK by 24%, yoghurt by 49% and cottage cheese by 16%. These achievements highlight the variety and quality of dairy products produced in the region.

Impact of the food embargo

One of the key factors contributing to the growth in production was the introduction of the food embargo in 2014. This measure gave local producers the opportunity to “spread their wings”, as they were able to focus on expanding their range and improving product quality. As a result, the region's food sovereignty has been significantly strengthened.

Minister of Agriculture of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Ilya Vasiliev noted that thanks to the measures taken, local entrepreneurs received an incentive to introduce new technologies and modernize production processes. This allowed not only to increase production volumes, but also to create new jobs in the region.

Development prospects

Despite the successes achieved, the Krasnoyarsk Territory continues to work to improve its position in the agro-industrial complex. The plans include further development of meat and dairy production, as well as the introduction of innovative technologies that will help improve the efficiency and quality of products.
