Over the four months of this year, the trade turnover increased by 10% compared to the same period last year and amounted to $544 million. At the same time, Russian exports increased by 32% to $103 million. Also , Russia and Germany are fruitfully cooperating in the field of organic farming, rural development and are working together to ensure food security.
Increasing organic production is one of the important areas in the Russian agro-industrial complex. According to the Deputy Minister, by 2024 the volume of the domestic market for such products can grow by 2.5 times. To train professional personnel in this area, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia supported the creation of a federal center of competence for organic agriculture on the basis of the Yaroslavl State Agricultural Academy. Within the framework of the German-Russian Agrarian-Political Dialogue Project, the university is actively interacting with German experts.
One of the current areas of work of the project is the digitalization of the agro-industrial complex. Today, a whole complex of information and analytical systems for farmers is successfully operating in our country.
