In connection with the identification of epizootic foci of African swine fever, the territorial department of the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR for the Tyumen region, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug recommended that the management of pig-breeding complexes transfer personnel to a rotational work method.
The recommendation applies to enterprises of all forms of ownership. In addition to changing the form of organization of the labor process, the supervisory agency warned their management of the need to strengthen control over the biological safety of livestock facilities and conduct an audit of farms to identify vulnerabilities.
The need to use labor resources outside their place of permanent residence was substantiated by the press secretary of the territorial department of Rosselkhoznadzor Marina Galimova. She recalled that according to sanitary rules, pig farm workers are not allowed to keep pigs in private backyards, because the ASF virus is easy to bring to the production area on shoes or clothes, but personal subsidiary farms most often ignore this requirement.
Last week in the Tyumen region quarantine for ASF was established at an infected facility in Ishim . In fact, an outbreak was simultaneously registered in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug : 300 out of 500 pigs died in the Kapsamun peasant farm, located 49 kilometers from Surgut.
