The court returned the right to the meat processing plant "Standard" to use the trademark "Family reserve"

The collegial decision made by the Intellectual Property COURT means that at the moment the Family Reserve trademark itself is free from claims of third parties. Accordingly, LLC "Kurgan MEAT Processing Plant "Standard"" can again freely produce and sell its products (stewed meat) under it.

The experts came to the conclusion that the signs “Family Reserve”, registered by the “Standard” meat processing plant, and “Family Budget” (the exclusive copyright holder is Glavprodukt JSC) cannot be considered confusingly similar due to differences in sound, graphic writing and semantic content dominant verbal designations "reserve" and "reserve". 

Earlier, the Glavproduct group of companies publicly disseminated information about the production of counterfeit products and the illegal use of a disputed trademark. Due to the fact that the applicant did not provide evidence, the information was found to be false. At the end of 2022, the Federal Antimonopoly Service assessed the actions of JSC Glavprodukt in violation of the law on protection of competition and demanded that the information published in the media be refuted (FAS warning EC/60423/22 dated November 29, 2022). The Moscow police conducted a check against one of the leaders of the Glavproduct holding under Article 128.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (libel).
