Stavropol chicken producers open new export direction

Today, the main foreign economic partners of Stavropol are Saudi Arabia , CHINA , Azerbaijan - in total, more than 50 countries use the goods of agricultural producers of the region. This wide list of EXPORT interactions allowed the region to increase the indicator of agricultural exports abroad in a short period of the current year.

The list of supplied products, in addition to MEAT, includes Stavropol grain, oil and fat, fish and dairy products .

– Due to the high quality of our products, we are constantly opening up new sales markets, and thanks to existing export support mechanisms, such as compensation for transportation costs, preferential lending and certification, and finding partners abroad, our agricultural producers have been able to minimize the risks of entering new markets, – noted Artem Ilyin, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory.

Experts believe that in the next 10 years, poultry consumption in the world will grow by 50%. Since white meat is healthy and easy to prepare, it is more affordable. 

China and Saudi Arabia account for 82% of the total volume of Stavropol poultry exports. Also, for the first time, Stavropol chicken was sold to Turkmenistan. There are about ten enterprises producing chicken meat in Stavropol Krai.
