Stavropol Territory is one of the three leaders in the export of poultry meat

In the first six months of 2022, about 172 thousand tons of poultry MEAT were produced in the Stavropol Territory. The region produces a double rate of its own consumption of chicken meat, which allows it to actively develop exports, the government of the UK said.

This year, three percent more chicken meat was shipped to foreign markets than last year - 47.4 thousand tons. In monetary terms, the figure increased by 75 percent or $123 million. The largest importers of our chicken meat are Saudi Arabia, CHINA , United Arab Emirates. For the first time this year, deliveries were made to Bahrain and Qatar. Also in 2022, a large number of importing countries from Africa appeared: Mozambique, Kenya, Angola, Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Equatorial Guinea. Products are delivered there by air in transit through the Istanbul airport.

The Stavropol Territory is traditionally one of the three leaders in the EXPORT of poultry meat. On store shelves in the region, local poultry products account for at least 70 percent in the segment. And they plan to increase processing capacities in the region by another 120,000 tons per year.

Earlier, Governor Vladimir Vladimirov called for maximum support for investments in the region's economy.
