USA: Pig market overview for the 29th week of 2023
The cost of cutting pork carcasses increased by another 15 cents. The US Department of Agriculture estimated FI pig slaughter in the week leading up to Saturday at 2.316 million HEAD. This is lower than 2.328 million heads last week, but 21 thousand heads a year more.
