However, Friday's close showed that the June and August contracts moved into the weekend with losses of 57 cents and 30 cents, respectively, compared to 12-50 cent gains on the deferred contracts. July futures were down $1.57 Friday-Friday, while December contracts closed 72 cents higher. The average national benchmark price for USDA hogs was $93.04 Friday afternoon after falling $1.75. The CME Lean Hog ​​Index rose another 85 cents on June 21 to $90.47.

USDA's monthly cold storage data showed pork stocks at the end of May at 525.871 million pounds. This is 7.3% less than in April and 3.7% less than in May 22.

According to the FAS weekly data release, 28,654 tons of pork were sold for EXPORT in the week ending June 15. This is 7% more than last week and 13% more than the same week last year. Mexico and CANADA were the top destinations.
