USA: Cattle market overview for the 30th week of 2021
The cost of Choice MEAT in the US market increased by $3.24 in a week, the price of Select beef added $2.37. Choice/Select price leverage increased to $19.27.

According to a USDA report , beef exports continue to rise. Shipments reached 19,135 million tons, which is 4% higher than the average for the last four years and 5% higher than last year. Beef prices are lower than in June but remain very high historically (+28% compared to the five-year average). Demand for beef in the global market continues to improve, as evidenced by the fact that US exports are gaining momentum despite these high prices. Total net sales for the past week were 22,467 tons, up 28% from the last four weeks. Sales to Japan were 6,050 tons, almost 40% higher than the four-week average, while sales to SOUTH KOREA rose again to 8,222 tons, or 48%.
CHINA remains the third largest market with last week's sales of about 4,500 tons.
