The price of Choice MEAT in the US market fell by $2.09 in a week, the price of Select beef fell by $1.8. Choice/Select price leverage increased to $32.06.
U.S. beef sales jumped from the previous week, but are still below the four-week average.
Net sales of 16,100 metric tons (MT) were up 28% from the previous week, but 17% below the four-week average.
Exports mainly to Japan (4,800 tons), SOUTH KOREA (4,000 tons), Mexico (2,500 tons), CHINA (2,300 tons) and Indonesia (1,000 tons) are on the rise, which helped offset the decline in supplies to Honduras (100 MT) .
Exports of 21,100 metric tons - a marketing year high - are up 70% from the previous week and 22% from the previous four weeks' average.
