During an inspection of a truck on April 13, 42 horses were found, which were accompanied by a veterinary certificate of the Customs Union form No. 1. The characteristics of the animals in the documents corresponded, but they had no means of identification. The next day, on April 14, during an inspection of another vehicle, 33 horses were found, also issued with veterinary documents. However, the number of horses did not match that indicated in the documents: only four had chips installed, three of which matched the data in the inventory.

The animals were detained and placed in isolation for the necessary quarantine measures under the supervision of the state veterinary service. Based on the results of these procedures, a decision will be made on the further fate of the animals. Since the beginning of 2025, thanks to the interaction of all services, the illegal movement of 542 farm animals has been prevented, including 191 horses and 351 heads of cattle .
