In 2023, in the Leningrad region, the profits of the largest producers of edible eggs increased significantly, reaching more than 40% growth. The Sinyavinskaya, Roskar poultry farms and the Oredezh agricultural complex earned a total of 4.4 billion rubles, which is 43.6% more than in the previous year, according to the companies’ financial statements.

One of the reasons for this significant increase in profits is the successful development and increase in the production of edible eggs. Companies continue to develop, improving their processes and management efficiency, which has a positive impact on the financial condition of enterprises.

Another factor contributing to the increase in profits is the growing demand for edible eggs . In 2023, demand continued to grow, which became an additional incentive for the largest producers in the Leningrad region.

it is interesting to note that according to last year's results, eggs became the most expensive product in RUSSIA, with prices rising by 61%. In St. Petersburg, prices for eggs increased by 40%, reaching 125 rubles per dozen. This situation attracted the attention of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who in his speech admitted that the rise in prices was a “failure in the work of the government,” but explained it by increased demand caused by increasing incomes of the population.

An analysis of the annual reports of the three largest egg producers in the Leningrad region showed that the greatest increase in profits was demonstrated by the Oredezh agricultural complex, increasing its income by 6.5 times to 478 million rubles. Sinyavinskaya doubled its profit to 1.852 billion rubles, while Roskar completed the top three with a profit increase of 46% to 2.126 billion rubles.
